New Zealand Law Society - Solicitors' Benevolent Fund

Solicitors' Benevolent Fund

The Benevolent Fund has been running since 1941. It assists practitioners of the Wellington Branch of the New Zealand Law Society and their families who are suffering significant hardship.

Who is eligible for assistance?

Confidential grants are made on a case-by-case basis and neither the trustees nor the New Zealand Law Society take any fees from the fund.

Those who require financial assistance, or who are enquiring on behalf of someone else, can contact the Wellington Branch Manager in confidence on (04) 463 2948.

Donations to the Fund

The generosity of Wellington practitioners continues to be a cornerstone of the local profession. Regular donations will help the Benevolent Fund reach more of those who are in need. Any donation will be gratefully received.

Any donation above $5 is tax deductible.

All donations go directly to the capital reserve. The Solicitors’ Benevolent Fund Trust is registered as a charitable trust (number CC48709) and has tax deductible status.

Donations can be made
