94% of region's resource consent applications processed on time

The Manawatu-Whanganui region's councils processed 94% of their resource consent applications on schedule in the year ended June 2011. The region has performed slightly worse than the national council average which is 95%. Palmerston North City Council brought down the regional average. Almost 80% of criminal prosecutions result in conviction in Manawatu branch area

Just under 80% of criminal charges prosecuted in Feilding, Palmerston North and Levin District Courts during 2010 resulted in a conviction, according to information released by Statistics New Zealand.
