Ministry updates progress on Feilding District Court
The Ministry of Justice has provided an update on progress with the Feilding District Court which was closed in late November 2011 after engineering experts warned there was a high risk of partial or full collapse in a significant seismic event.
All registry services and hearings for Feilding will continue to be taken care of in Palmerston North for the foreseeable future.
The Ministry is continuing to assess long-term options for court services in the affected communities and is waiting for more information from engineers before the planning of strengthening work can be completed, Mr Pigou said.
