PLS webinar: lawyers and real estate licensees - working better together
The New Zealand Law Society’s Property Law Section (PLS) is pleased to join the Real Estate Authority (REA) for the first in a planned series of joint webinars aimed at strengthening understanding, communication and collaboration between property lawyers and real estate licensees. Based on discussions between representatives of both professions, this session will focus on common issues arising in the early stages of residential property transactions and explore practical ways to reduce misunderstandings, manage risk and achieve better outcomes for clients.

Through a panel discussion involving experienced property lawyers, REA representatives and industry leaders, the webinar will examine a range of current practice issues, including disclosure obligations, deposits, stress sales, digital signatures and more.
By attending, you will:
• Better understand the respective roles and obligations of lawyers and real estate licensees.
• Explore common transaction pain points and practical solutions.
• Discuss disclosure obligations and emerging professional risks.
• Consider issues involving deposits, including KiwiSaver-funded deposits.

The webinar will conclude with an interactive Q&A session, providing attendees with an opportunity to raise questions and share perspectives.
