The Family Law Section leads the way in the development and practice of family law in New Zealand.

Purpose statement

The Family Law Section’s purpose is to:

i. Assist and promote the reform of family law in New Zealand;

ii. Promote and uphold the rule of law as it affects family law in New Zealand;

iii. Promote excellence in the practice of family law;

iv. Provide, support, benefits and advocacy for its members; and

v. Establish, maintain and support professional training in all areas of family law.
